FOAK: Bracknell cut through vs M4-M25

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by toad_oftoadhall, Jun 7, 2006.

  1. In a cage is it quickest to go M25->M3->a322->M329->M4 (Bracknell cut
through) or stay on the M25 and join the M4 off that?

On the bike I always use the cut through, but not sure how it pans out
    in the car.

    TIA.

  2. Depends on a) time of day and b) amount of traffic. Oh and on c) how
many clueless muppets have rammed their vehicles into someone else..

    Generally no.

Stay on the M25. It's not too bad now that it's 5(or is it 6?) lanes
each way past Heathrow. The local roads around Bracknell / A329M are
crap at the moment due to a major road closure between Wokingham and
    Finchampstead.

  4. Beware the GATSOs on the gantries on that stretch, especially when the speed
signs are lit. If you do get stuck on the M25, I reckon it's better to hack
off round Old Windsor and that way to the M4. I never bother with that M3
    cut through meself.
