The father-in-law is having similar problems ATM and had asked me to
look into power flushers. This lot make/sell them

    www.kamco.co.uk

and if you google there are companies that will pop round and clean out
    your pipes for a fee.

    Good luck.

Might have guessed. Wessie probably does as well. TBH the last year or
so they don't seem to be gaining any new insights, a case of research
following the funding. I'm waiting to hear who will be assessing the
new ERA plan for single parents as there might be some research work
in it for me as once again Derby is one of the trial areas.

    It's an open one.

Could be the float valve on the header tank is stuck, I've had that happen.

  6. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Martin <> saying
    something like:

Champ's been trying to do that for free for months.

    Black water is not good.

IIWY I'd drain the whole system, flush and refill but with some additive
    added (Fernox or similar).

Ideally, radiator water should not be darker than weak tea (or so I was told
    by "someone who knows")

Spot on. It'll need flushing at least twice and it'll run much
hotter (and cheaper) thereafter. All sytems should have additive
or eventually your rads will start to form pinholes. By then it's
too late and you'll have to change the lot.
