At the moment, hopefully nought. As said in another post, I
hope that the inquiry by Essex plod will produce the info.
Catman has offered help to, didn't know he was close to there.
But will come back to you if necessary. Ta.

I wouldn't go to that length to insult you. ;-)

I suppose that's being lucky in unlucky circumstances.

    Considered moving?

Well, that was clear to me, as they could do you on the same
ground for DUI. I have reported it yesterday afternoon and
found the cop quite friendly and useful. Let's hope things will
progress well and I get some info soonish.

Best of luck. Darsy is probably slightly closer, but I have 'more' time
    during normal working days (probably)

  5. This happened to me last summer, but fortunately a couple of witnesses
got the cow's number plate and hung around long enough to track me
down and give me their details. A rare act these days :-(

It took ages to sort out and the cops tracked her down but AFAIK they
never actually charged her with anything. Apparently after it happened
she got out of the car, decided there was no damage and drove off
leaving my ZX-7R on its side with £1,500 quids worth of damaged
fairing. The cops wouldn't charge her with leaving the scene because
she got out of her car briefly before buggering off?!?

Ironically, I lobbed it down the road on some ice at about 70 after
getting a quote on fixing the damage but before I had actually got
around to having the panels replaced. Fortunately the damage was on
the same side so she ended up paying to have most of that fixed.
    It's a funny old world.

They really should have publicly crucified the daft bitch though.

    Iain.

Hate to say this but I'd suggest that your best course of events is to
shrug and forget it. If they were going to get in touch they'd have
done it when the damage was done.

Pursuing something like this would wind me up intensely, I'd rather
cough up and get on with my life.

Mind you, I'd key a few landrovers to make myself feel better.

Well, they sort of did, didn't they? By going into the bar and telling
the bar staff. I just don't get why they didn't just come over the 5
meters to tell me, while I was sitting there. Since they were 'known'
to the bar-staff the peep down the cop-shop seemed to be slightly more
optimistic. Though I have no idea what Essex police are like.
Hmm, do we have nay here on ukrm AFAYOSEK?

I would if I could as easily. The coughing up I mean, I'm happy to go
    on with my life though.

    Nae, not my style.
