Sugarpuffs with Bells instead of milk, mate. That's what you (don't) want.

    DAMHIK,IJK,OK?

  2. Not at all? I don't drink much either[1] but I'm sure I've seen you with
    a rum and coke.

[1] I don't drink often but when I do my head tends to go AWOL.

Whinging Courier emerged from their own little world to say
There must be other triggers then :)

  5. I've noticed that a lot of people when drinking still remain fairly
    sane.

I never understood this. There's nothing worse than having your style
cramped by someone who wants to remain in the rat race. The reason I
have a drink (if it wasn't the reason I started, it's the reason I
continue) is to let go and forget myself for a while. If I have a
drink, I go where it takes me, and yes, you're right about the triggers,
I have problems with those when I'm sober as well :-(

  7. I once tried to play squash after 8 pints of guinness. Imagine the results.

Dude, you don't even _start_ fairly sane.

Though I'm still half convinced that you send somebody else along to
    real-world meet-ups.

I drink maybe twice a year now. Usually only at BOSM and EOSM.

I woke up in a strange room with unfamiliar Artex on the ceiling, so job

  14. A brown slippery viscous liquid puddle, with forms of froth forming at
the surface with bubbles plinking into the near atmosphere.

I had two cans of cheap lager all weekend. Same happened at the previous
meeting here. Alcohol just doesn't do anything for me now, except make
me tired and ill, so I don't bother any more.

How we didn't crash on our lap of the track is still one of life's little
    mysteries.

Slow, wobbly and fucked. I reckon we were going a lot slower than it seemed
at the time. Certainly I had enough time to figure out that I shouldn't
come out of the chicane at full noise, not once the roads were open again...

Especially (with a nod to your earlier point) the two pints in
question may be McEwan's Champion (7.3% abv, 550ml bottle) and/or
Newcastle Star Ale (7.5% abv, 500ml bottle) either one of which would
happily take you over the legal limit on their own.
