I have a fully legit distribution of XP Media Centre 2 cd for some time and
havent got around to putting it on.

Question is, is it worth the leap ? I suppose if I ghost and backup my
existing stuff I can always roll back, if its causes any pain.

Depends on whether you need any of the features in Media Centre, really.

It came on my latest personal laptop and I rather like it. Fairly pain
free install and configuration compared to some of the aftermarket
media apps. If you don't actually want or need the media stuff then
it's just XP with bells on.

AIUI XP with bells but without some of the useful stuff. XP Home, innit?

Might throw it on a lappie then. In actual fact its is relevant as I have a
DBT and the software is shite, for just one point.
