Floyd Parkes Kawasaki showroom now open at 1821 Ferntree Gully Rd Ferntree
Gully (If you're heading out of town there towards the hills it's in the first
group of new factories on the left as you approach the Mountain Gate shopping
centre. I heard them advertising on 3MMM this morning and it's just a few km
from work so I popped in during my lunch break. Nice big showroom with plenty
of room between the bikes so you can have a squiz at them and they have price
tags hanging off all their new bikes (even the Z750 had a price tag).

Chatted to James Parkes (I guess he's part owner). They are the home of the
Castrol Kawasaki race team and the team mechanics are the same blokes who will
be working in the workshop servicing the customer bikes. Also have another
mechanic (some foreign bloke, name of Warwick someone - who used to be a WSBK
mechanic?? anyone?) who can be requested to work on bikes for an additional
$10 per hour. They also had one of the Kawasaki sponsored V8 supercars in the
workshop getting final sticker preparation for team launch tonight
apparently. The Kawasaki GP riders Hoffman and Nakano will be in store on
Saturday afternoon doing the autograph signing thing. Kawasaki riders might
appreciate having an alternative to P*t*r St*v*ns in the eastern suburbs.
