    Hiya Folks
Front calliper on me GS500 I can move it about a little. You can hear a
little click if yer pull it about?? I know they are sposed to be floating
but owt to worry about? It stops well though!
    Cheers

Errr... it's the disks that float isn't it?

Or is this one of the cheap single piston designs that slides so one
piston pushes against the disk and causes the caliper to move so the
other piston pushes against the disk?

Thought they'd stopped using those years ago.

I've got those on my shite old car.

The pins are slightly warped on one side so the pad against the piston
rubs lightly on the disk. This means I get to smell burning as I
drive... And a pad lasts about 1,500 miles!

Still a box of four pads is about 12- so I'm ok for a bit. Suppose I
ought to get around to replacing the fecking caliper soon.

If it's the disk wobbling slightly and all of the bobbins are in place
that hold the disk to the centre I'd not worry.

Then again I don't give a **** about safety and trust to luck so don't
    take my advice.

Mine does that. Warm it up and it goes.
    Nothing to worry about.
