I think I may have seen Spider once. Possibly supporting Gillan or
    Judas Priest, early 80s.

heh. But no, on this occasion. It was raised by another ukrmer, the
name of whom, to my chagrin, I've forgotten. He even got me a t-shirt
    sent from the states.

<fx:rattles head to stimulate memory> Hmm. It might have been MJ
    Carley. Maybe.

    Christ but I'm a **** sometimes.

Was it Grimley. Or that Wiglaf geezer.
Surely you're used to it by now.

Wiglaf - that's the chap. Bloody nice bloke, too. He seemed to take
particular pleasure in getting his born again christian sister to buy
and post a T-shirt for the "Fucking Champs".

  11. He wasn't when I saw him at the Trowbride Village Pump Festival
    last summer.

It was only the fact that we had managed to score some seats in the
    marquee that stopped me leaving..

the recycling though. the venue gave her another ticket though for a

I was briefly a roadie (part time) for a local band; who were the
'competition' for graduate (who sort of changed into tears for fears).

A friend of mine did the roadie work for graduate; I often wonder how
    things would have worked out if we had done this the other way around;
he ended up making a decent living[1] as a road manager.

[1] I think 'very good' is closer to the truth. He was (allegedly) paid
IRO 30k a year in the mid 80s to feed Curt Smiths cats when Curt was in
    the states...

It's a given that he is musically crap.

He is only funny if you realize the music is only 10% of the show
    before you go.

It's amazing that he still make a very good living "just" from
    giging.
