    Veggie Dave says...
I've done the Farmyard a few years back. ISTR Pip saying he had too.

I had close personal friends there this weekend, one of whom is a well
    liked ex-girlfriend of mine.

  3. Oh OK next time I want to post something I'll check with you first to
see if you have heard of it or know about it. After all the whole
world revolves around you and what you know doesn't it.

tell you what, when you have finally pulled your head out of your own
arse and I really give a **** what you think then I'll ask you first
    OK.

Oh, be fair. That's a 6.5 at least. Low Earth Orbit.

  10. Despite all the bullshit from so called 'real' people[1], this was quite
a shock to me. It could have been a lot worse, too, had it happened
earlier. A few of the XJROC were there and got away early Sunday,
missing the mayhem and having had a great time.
I saw some crappy video phone footage on the news and it looked
dreadful, not a feature to be seen under the muddy water.
My heart goes out to everyone who lost bikes, gear and valuable rallying
equipment in the flooding. Well done to all the upside down heads who
stayed and helped clean up after the water went down a bit.

[1] Once again I am reminded why I don't like this NG and most of it's
denizens very much. For heaven's sake pull your heads out of your arses
and take a look around at the world. It's not all about *you*, you know >;o(

  11. Look at ne sniling between ny gritted teef... :-E
I wasn't at the Farmyard, for political reasons.
I am agog that people here don't know about bike rallies.
Best you can manage is a day at the BMF to buy vile pink one piece
    leathers, is it?
Wet? No, I'm not joining in. Borg was in Alien Nation for a while thus
    I'm on his side.
I'm light enough (oh really?) but as usual a serious post ends up as a
    power rangers versus rufty-tufties fight.

My money is on the leather clad beardies :p

    <EEK!>

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/north_yorkshire/4110202.stm
Peter Gibb, from Carrickfergus, was taking part in a motorbike rally and was
staying on a campsite in the village when the flood started.

"We got a phone call from one of the organisers who was further up the site,
telling us to get out of the tent and get our bikes to safety as quick as
possible because there was a wall of water coming," he said.

"So we jumped on our bikes and rode down the side as quickly as we could -
there was a four foot wall of water that chased me the whole way down the
    site.

"I was able to pull up onto a path and the water just swept past pulling
cars and all sorts, portaloos, caravans, livestock and sheep, you name it."
