  1. No - that just means it's up on it's back legs.

(Mind you they missed a few out like 'vulned' - ie wounded.)

"A bull argent, vulned, piercee, gutee de sang" (part of the decription of the
Launce family crest that (I'm assured - probably wrongly) that my
    family descends from).

Which equates to: "a silver bull, wounded and with a hole that shows
the background colour, spattered with blood"

There isn't (as far as I know) a heraldic term for a beast mounted..

  3. They serve a purpose.

That purpose being "the amusement of the everyone else".

Sounds like there's room to photoshop a kestrel in there.

  5. Most of them are relatively harmless eccentrics, though.

Mounted as in a stag, or mounted as 'in' a sheep?

  7. Nice to know I'm feared..

Now my only question is: Does an NIV make as big a dent as a KJV? Well?
    Do you feel lucky punk?

Nah, Good News, hard cover - you'll get an imprint of the logo if you
    swing it hard enough.

He's a very clever, very scary bloke. ATM he's just on (an ongoing)
publicity drive but he's already held the chair of the Stop & Search
Independent Advisory Group and his links to the US right wing, his
anti European stance and his persistent attempts to gain public office
    - nasty.

  13. Depends on how long your pole is I guess.
Well quite. Add the ability to quote wholesale in order to inspire
fear, surprise and fanatic hatred of Popishness.
