    She's American, so yes, but I don't consider it a valid excuse. It's
    in a fully approved SOP as well.

    Mine dew, this particular individual has a family history of
    misspellungs, including her surname, which is ostensibly Italian, but
    it's been anglicised to be spelt with a 'ch' in the middle, despite
    the end syllable sounding like cello - she was not best amused when
    checking into a Florence hotel with us a couple of years back when the
    receptionist couldn't find her booking, as he was clearly looking for
    something spelt in the correct Italian way. When she showed him the
    spelling, he was quick to point out the correct Italian pronunciation
    :)

    So if they can't even spell their own names correctly, what hope is
    there for the rest of the language?

    It's got nothing to do with the World Cup or football at all. I should have
    also said, maybe, that I don't mean those poxy £1 plastic things that stick
    (or not) out of the windows.
