    Hi,

One of the seals on my 87 FJ1100 keeps going, so am looking to replace the
front end to upgrade the brakes etc too.

Any one here with experience of doing this? Any suggested front ends?

Possible option is to fit later FJ12 forks, giving a better wheel size, and
brakes - with an option to put R6 calipers on, but will the later forks just
bolt into the FJ11 clamps etc?

I know there is loads of info on the web, but no two upgraded FJ's are the
    same..

Nope, not done the front end. Plenty of spares for the rest of the
    bike tho :)

    Like 5 tailpipes .. :/

Well, I was a bit keen to get a replacement right side silencer
(pressure of time against bought ferry tickets) so I had a bit of a
Ebay beerloom frenzy. Ended up winning 2 full sets and a spare LHS.
    All brand new ...

I can let the new n-eta (with 1 exhaust been used for about 100 miles)
go for what I paid for it. Which is about 1/2 new cost from Motad.

Pity I'd have to get it off this bike again and get a new gasket, so
    i'm in no rush !

If one of the seals keeps going, there must be a reason for it. Pitted
    stanchion?
Speak to 'Doc' at the FJOC. He'll probably have all the bits in stock anyway
(including FJ1200 front ends if that's what you decide to use). FZR1000
    Genesis/EXUP forks/wheels are a very common mod.
