Cool. We're actually hoping not to go off road but it's best to be
    prepared iyswim.

    Saturday? I did that too.
And I fired mine up. And rode it.[1] I did about 60 miles and headed
for home when it started raining, as it *really* needs a new front
tyre, which as luck[2] would have it, is being fitted today.

    [1] Paging ogden!
[2] Although not so much "luck" as "booked in for service, MOT & tyre"

Fitted, with silencers. Trouble is, they're a bit farty, so may need
    undoing and doing up again.

I still reckon the TorqMonsters are going to make it sound like a
    six-cylinder Harley-Davidson.

The old collector-box obviously quietened things down more than just a
bit, even if it was a bit more raucous then the OEM one.

    There goes Saturday.

    ... and Sunday.

Anyway, they're on again, as are the panniers, sidepanels, exhaust
    covers, etc.

Each side has a *tiny* leak where the TorqMonsters connect to the
exhaust headers, so I'm off to Halfords in the morning for some
    exhaust jointing paste.

I also need a handful of those tiddly bulbs with no metal base, and
then all I need to do is get a new Michelin Hi-Tour on the front wheel
with flat discs, then all should be well.

Three weeks to MOT, then a shake-down run to Montmort-Lucy. :)

Aha. We appear to have hit upon a solution. Fit 'em together *off* the
bike, then attempt to refit in one piece.

Seems to work, and it's a damned sight easier than doing it lying on
    the floor.
One ninety-nine *each* ffs. Good job I only needed three.

Bloody silly idea, those topbox lights.

I suspect you're shopping in the wrong places.
