My downpipes have a leak so I ordered a set of stainless replacements
    from LM Spares.
Has anyone else fitted these and will I need to get the carbs re-set ?

Not fitted them myself, but if ALL you're doing is replacing mild steel with
stainless, I don't see why a carb re-set would be needed.

If you change the cans though.......

I was told on the ixxra forum that it might need to be dyno tested. I
must admit I have no clear idea what that entails. Anyway it still
runs ok at the moment with a hole in the collector so I am mildly
    optimistic.

Can't see why myself. It's not as if you're doing anything to alter the
breathing of the motor, so the motor won't know anything's been changed.
It may well "appear" to be running Ok with the hole in the collector, but
that hole will have a greater effect on breathing than fitting new stainless
downpipes. Unless of course, fitting the stainless pipes also includes
ditching the collector box altogether (I know, "ditching the coll....")
