    Ride at the back, otherwise idiots will be overtaking you, with not a
    care in the world. One reason why I prefer to ride in small groups :)

    Carry loads of tools/spares and attitude.

    When someone losses a part..giv `em a can and an allen key and say "I told
    you so"...then ride off looking cool.

    This of course never happens to me as the "Magic Ruck-sack" now has
    jump-leads and Skrumpy Jack as Std.;-)

    <over snip>

    You going to give David any usefull advice then Pip ?

    Or is it better he feels his own way without having the pressure of the
    company of riding Gods on his rear..? ;-)

    Personally....I think it`s better on your own..until the wrist starts to
    ache..then let someone else take the lead..;-)))

    Also, don't worry about catching up too much, they can slow down, but if you
    feel unsafe to keep up, then don't.
