Well it's about time you got one. Aye, I'm but not an "Up at the crack of arse" man like thee. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
It was Sunday, it was a nice day (fucking brilliant up here, in fact) so expecting anythng different is a little short sighted, don't you think? Ahh, they're not real bikers then? -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
You could always "Toot toot" them. Who says they've spotted you though? If they have, a "toot" should be all that's needed to let them know you're about to pass 'em. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
It most certainly was for me. I've been hither and thither, but I've not gone out with the intention of having a fucking good long ride. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
I'd never claim that - I thought I was a bit rusty.... I don't know - maybe I am, and I was also being over-cautious in not making the pass.
Air does help; in my case remembering how to corner would have helped prevent me having my first bin of my biking career this morning... slid down the road on my front at about 20Mph after low-siding the bike Wot a mucking fuppet!! Especially as I got it all cleaned up after all the winter riding on Friday and MOT'd yesterday! Still that's one thing I can now cross of my to-do list
Beav took a blunt brush and painted... If there is enough room to pass a few cars there is certainly enough room to pull out to the RHS, pass the indecisive crock-rocket and the next car and get back in. Safe, easy, gets past the problem.
I always thought the bike had to be damaged so badly it was only fit for the bin. Plenty of people crash their bikes badly enough for them to be written off and get away personally without a scratch so it certainly can't be down to the rider being damaged.
Whats Monz up to these days? We could a Saturday like we used to do.. -- Nige, Land Rover 90 Yamaha R1 Range Rover Vogue
I thought of you last Wednesday evening, as walking through Mayfair, I saw a RR woth the number plate RR54 MUD. It was a white Sport with loads of bling; very "Premiership Footballer".
That happened to me a few years ago returning from a TOG Tour. Being tired and hungover, I just put it in my outside jacket pocket, and never did the zip up. My wallet's probably still lying at the side of the road, somewhere between Sedan & Calais.
So much so that if you sprayed both bikes pink it wouldn't make any difference to the gayness of the endeavour.
I just went for a spin. Didn't lose anything or crash. It's a bit cold though, -6C when I started, and the fingertips of my right hand got a bit frozen. I still haven't found a pair of winter gloves I can get on with. There is more snow forecast this week, so I don't think I'll be definitively back on the bike for a while yet.
