http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?q...21c$0$223$&rnum=3 in summary, 2 criteria: a) cannot be ridden home, and b) expensive damage - £1000 or 25% of bikes value. On this basis my off doesn't qualify on grounds of b) (unless the SV is much worse than it looks or Suzuki parts are horrendously expensive). Cheers
On Thu, 29 Jan 2004 16:23:44 -0000, "Andy Ashworth" [FBOTY] You will soon find that both criteria apply, I suspect. The solution is to replace only those parts that are vital - and to use pattern parts where possible.

Well I crashed mine a total of 3.5 (.5 was on the same day as one of the others and it was more 'fall over' then 'fall off') so you've got 1.5 to go to beat me
I was reading an old copy of Men's Health in the gym [1] yesterday and it was commenting on how easy it is to die by being hit in the chest by a baseball or cricket ball - something to do with causing a blood spike that makes your heart get confused and stop... Wonder if a tea mug would do the same thing?
Given the regularity of incident that afflicts the SV mob, I would suggest that replacement of every affected part for cosmetic reasons is a fool's game. Sooner or later (most likely sooner) the bike will be dropped/crashed/fall over again, eventually causing enough damage to the example component to justify its replacement. #;-)>>
