First Bike on Scene courses

If anyone is interested in a training day, the following dates are
listed on the LAS website:

Saturday 18th June
Saturday 30th July
Friday 26th August
Friday 23rd September
Saturday 24th September
Friday 21st October
Saturday 22nd October
Thursday 24th November
Sunday 27th November
Sunday 4th December
Monday 5th December

And apparently they are prepared to travel to hold their courses, as
per the link below.

Well, apart from you obviously. And I'm sure the windowlicking courses
involve full-face helmet removal ;o)

I'm doing a refresher because once you leave the NHS you don't get to
do them again unless you pay for them.

Heh, I'd hope not IYSWIM.

The last incident I attended^^^interfered in got more grief than it was
worth from bystanders.

That said, I'll still do what I think is right should I be unlucky
enough to happen accross a similar situation.

 

heh, i've got those "do not remove helmet" stickers, but I don't want
to choke to death before they do IYSWIM

If you can't make the Lancs dates then, as I posted up there, this
company does much the same thing. They are from Rexx country[1] so
the courses are in SW England & M/S Wales. Like Lancs, they will
travel for a group session.....

Sounds like a great idea, but I'll be doing my first aid refresher
with BASP[1] again this year.

[1] British Association of Ski Patrollers. Basically paramedics on
skis.
