  10. Apparently, that looks very much like the fireworks factory fire in
    Enschede in NL, the smoke plume could be seen some 100 odd miles away.

    In my 'white hat' days my overlords decreed that one of us air pollution
    lot needed to attend any major fire incident in the area to advise the
    forward control unit of the fire service. On one occasion I drove up the
    approaches to a petrol depot tank farm where a petrol tanker was well
    alight. Flames high in to the air, helicopter up, the works. Burning
    petrol flowing in the gutter of a road which by luck ran downhill from
    the depot. After announcing my presence to the fire officer in charge he
    told me to **** off sharpish and leave it to them. Talk about sense of
    duty - respect.
