Signature separator.

The block at the end of all of your posts is a usenet signature. The
separator (dashdashspacereturn) enables the newsreader of anyone
replying to your post to automagically snip out the sig, saving
labour, time and repeated unsnipped sigs.

No she didn't ride a bike, infact she managed to reverse her car into one of
mine not so long ago!

Move the dashes all the way over to the left - Thunderbird (newsreader)
will spot it as a sig then.
