You Don't Mess With the Zohan

It's no Zoolander but it's surprisingly funny.

    Des'd fucking love it.

I quite liked the look of that, and I /hate/ Ben Stiller flicks.
No, didn't like that. One bit

Mate recommended that down the pub last night and he knows I have
better than average taste in flicks. He reckoned it was the dialogue,
some of it was very close to the mark. He also liked the "Oeerrr,
    Hilary, I'd do her sketch".

Btw, I thought Zoolander was tripe.

Had I known that Ben Stiller was in Tropic Thunder I wouldn't have watched
it, but I didn't, so I did (watch it).

I was under the illusion it was a "serious" film, but it had Ben Stiller in
it and at first I wasn't quite sure it was comic or serious. It turned out
to be comdecic rather than "for real dude". It was absolute shite in parts
    and fucking brilliant in others.

Robert Downey Jr was fucking hilarious and I even thought Tom Cruise was
    funny as **** in it.

We just hit 'pause'. Mildly amusing, but Downey Jnr is starting to get
on my tits with the phoney 'black' accent.

  6. Agreed. And back to the excellent Zohan, the crap that Sandler puts out
is even worse given he started with Punch Drunk Love which along with
Burn After Reading is one of the best films I've seen so far this year.

Mmm, Burn after reading. That sort of fizzled out for me. I'm not impressed
when a film has two blokes talking at the end telling the audience what
happened to various characters and I was reminded on more than a few
occasions of the "Have I told you about my investigating feet" sketch in Red
    Dwarf.

Brad Pitt makes a great "hard man" though.

I watched that last week and thought it was great, although it took a
    while to get going.

Revolutionary Road is a bit the same, a straight 120 minutes, more or
less punches it's weight, great performance from DiCaprio and Winslet,
but, at the end of the day, somehow fails to satisfy.
