A project I worked for once got a Severity 1 defect in the test phase
because, quote, "there is a pair of buttocks on the screen", end of
quote. Quick talks among the programmers to determine who among us was
stupid enough to mix his porn downloads with the application source
code. And eventually it came out that the background image of the
application, which was a faint image of a windy road had two parallel
curves which were misinterpreted.

OTOH, the application had some real Easter Eggs which were never
uncovered AFAIK.

 

I'm also intrigued to know who these worthies are, who's job it is to
get offended on other peoples behalf.

Surely the majority of the Muslim community will be thinking that this
is yet another PC, knee jerk reaction they didn't ask for which will
further isolate their community.

 

Market niche there;

"Never be offended again! For a small monthly sum, we can be offended
on your behalf! Each month, just tick the boxes and forget about it!
We write to the Daily Mail, do outraged interviews, and due to
economies of scale, we can also offer a protest twice a year at flat
rate. Forget being offended today!"

But does anyone care that they are isolated?
