I believe that it's not an offence for someone in the UK to send SPAM?

Now, there's a fucking company who refuse to stop sending me the fucking
stuff and I'm fucking sick to death of it. So, who do I report these
    cunts to?

  5. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Veggie Dave amazed us all with this pearl of
    wisdom:
That won't do any good. What you actually need to do is shove a broken
    swingarm up their arse.

I've used 'em for years and pay an annual subscription so I don't
actually have to receive any spam in my mailbox. This is why I use my
email address unprotected on usenet without having to deal with all
    the email harvesting bawts.

Once a day I've elected to receive my Held Mail Report via email which
I scan briefly to make sure nothing I want to read has been blocked
(only happened a couple of times) and then I just click "report all"
    and it does its stuff.

It may be under euro rules, depending on the circumstances but otherwise
    no, not at all.

    Name and shame.

A Spamcop bought and paid for account, or similar.

It don't stop them straight away but it gives you a handy set of good
quality tools and if you use them properly it slowly fucks up the
    spammers up a treat.

Dunno but if they are the same lot what send me spam I am well up for a
free and frank exchange of views. Trouble is most of the shite I get is
from China, a country well noted for small dicks judging by the fuss
they all seem to make over it.

Either the British information comissioner, who would order them to
stop, or you could take it to courts as a civil action.

    Here's some background reading.

I finally signed with them late last year after two years of looking for
    the right tool set.

I like to report my spam fresh and as I spend a lot of time sitting here
I do it on the fly as it were.

Ultimately though it's not in their business interest to rid the internet
of spam entirely. If that happened, people would no longer require their
    services.

  14. It is an offence.

I did know, but the HD I kept the info on has gone down. This particular
one might be revived by removing it and giving it a good thrashing -
something's getting sticky inside. HD5 - it just goes click-click, and
    prevents the box from booting.

If I get it going again I'll lecher know.

That's the one... If people started taking them to court for £300 a go,
with luck, they'd stop.... in this country.
