    Hi folks,

appart from myself, anyone else on aus.moto interested in feet forward
    bikes and/or scoots?

Reason I ask is that I have heard of a Honda Helix which is likely to be
    for sale some time soon.

These weren't (AFAIK) imported to Oz officially, this one being a
    private import from the US.

    regards,

I thnk the Helix qualifies as a scooter, I'm really not sure it;s an FF
    a la Mr Creasey.

http://cgi.motorcycle.com/mo/mchonda/helix.html is a quick review of
    one.

Looks like it would make an excellent commuter and do two up shopping
    and short trip duties.

Hi Hammo. I didn't see your comment till now.....

I had a close look at a couple of them while I was in Athens last year
and spoke to the rider(driver?) of one.

They look much less attractive in the flesh, rather too bulky.

The rider said that they were OK, but, compared to other scoots, too
    heavy, slow, under-powered and thirsty.

I've got a Lambretta I rescued from under a tree in a paddock (hey, I
felt sorry for it ok?) After 14 years in the weather it needs some
work, but not as much as you might think, however at the moment its
fallen victim to my lack of time/money/motiviation, but it'll get there.

    Three?!

Yu pay full price or where they cheap to get them off the floor. I was
going to replace the VTR with one, but the 10k + put it back on the lust
    list.

    Cheers

  10. Hey CC

Which model though? There are a few variants in engine size, extra and add
ons. The one I saw ( a few years back) at the Sydney motor show looked
    great!
