KR250, tandem twin[1] IIRC, circa 1983-85. Mate had one many years ago,
very quick and handled like it was on rails. If that's the bike I think
    it is[2], then it's a beauty.

[1] One cylinder behind the other, 2 cranks.
[2] used to belong to the guy who ran the spares division of RD Owners
    Club.

I thought it was an AR125 with a TZR250 engine fitted at first. Wonderful
    looking piece of machinery.

The silver one on the website looks fantastic. Certainly different to the LC
and RGs that were doing the rounds then. Hints of GPz900 in there too.

Hope the guy manages to do a full resto on it, then rides it like it was
meant to be ridden :). Wish my wife would buy me a stinkwheel.

Preferably not running and I'll leave it that way for months and months you
    mean? ;o)
I'll bet spares are in really short supply for this baby.

Met a bloke today riding one of those original Honda 750 V-4's. 1988
conventional swinging arm hydraulic clutch RCSomething. Rather nice.

It's not the actual bike I was thinking of. Nice all the same, but he's
had his fair share of problems by the look of it.

  12. Hm. Could be an RC30. The early V4s (VF750F) were discontinued in
    1984/85.

Could have been a VF750F, the model designation is RC15 on those. The
VFR750F also has an RC prefix, as does the VF400F, 500F and 1000F.

RC15, don't think so. It had an almost spondonesque ally beam frame.

  17. Hm. All the VFs were monoshock. They did a few horrible custom things
that might have had dual shockers...

The only 1988 (ish) Beam framed Honda V4, with conventional s/arm I can
think of is the VFR750F, similar to this one[1]

[1] Ok, so this is a 1987 model with 16 and 18 inch wheels, but the FJ/K
model didn't look that much different in every other respect.

Hey that's the one and in these colours
    http://home.hetnet.nl/~teakeboogaard/mybikes/vfrachterzij.jpg
Twin piston sliding pin front callipers.
Given that it was a year older than my SOBeemer I thought it was a
remarkably nice and well sorted bike. Well ahead of it's time. Are they
    reliable?

The frame was like the first extruded section aluminium beam frame that
    Spondon did for the 1000EXUP.

You sure it wasn't an American import 700 Interceptor? Not quite as fast
as our 750 version, but everything else was the same.
It's a VFR, do bears shit in the woods? Is the Pope a catholic?

Of course it's fucking reliable. One of the most reliable bikes ever
    made, in fact.
