It's MCN so this really really doesn't surprise my but....try booking
the Belfast Stranraer route. It only quotes for sailings after midnight
to the wee small hours. Complete twats.

It does, depends which route you select. The drop down menu changes
    depending on the operator.

You are truly the Master of Brute Force.

I can see you now, reprising the roles of Jean-Claude Van Damp and

Sounds like a plan. I'll let you know what day as soon as I know
myself. It all hinges on what day the 9R departs from Pixie Central.
I'll most likely fly out to yours the next day.

If you use Stenna and also use the on line booking you save a £10 then
if you use V520 as a discount code you get 30% off as well. Nice lady
in the office just told me this as she's leaving :)

**** me that's handy. It could bring the cost down so much that they
could end up paying me to sail on their boat.

The V520 Code is quoted on MCN/Stena page which doesnt work and refers
    you to 08705 707070.

I suspect that it will end up being the £75 jobbie.

Which is mucho cheaper than the current Liverpool - Dublin charges.
FWIW atm I can sail Holyhead to Ireland and factor in the petrol costs
    from here to Holyhead too.

And the 'new' ferry company is 'supposed' to be in competition with the
airlines from Liverpool to Ireland..I don't think so!

You were probably being an obnoxious ****. I did the old soapy "Oh, I'm
terribly sorry, I've only got sterling" bit, and they were nice as pie.
They must get hundreds a day with only sterling - if they kept them all
waiting at the booth, they'd have huge traffic jams and their cashflow would
    be ratshit.

I offered them sterling and apologised I'd spent the last of my Euro on
petrol. I offered them a CC which they declined. Only then did I get a
    touch shirty.
I had a couple of hours before the ferry and was happy to wait it out.
They still didn't take any sterling from me though and others have had
    the same problem.
