    Depends dunnit.

Presumably you have actually checked the bits before the speedo are
*actually* whizzing round in an appropriate manner?

If this is the case then do as others have recommended.

Trundling down the M1 yesterday just before the Leicester exit the speedo
suddenly drops to zero and no mileage recorded on from that.
Now even *I* know I was moving!
So, investigation of cable this a.m shows it's intact. It had a new drive at
the wheel end about 6 months ago apparently.
So what next speedo head ?

    Front wheel off the ground?

I take it you've found the HBoL inside the topbox?

New drive at the wheel could still be at fault. On the Transalp
I've gone through a couple of those as on cog tends to shred the
other to pieces if there's a bit of dirt hanging around.

    Yes thanks on the HBoL

Must admit to *not* being a wheelie style person, so discounted that one.

Had a look at the drive at the wheel while at work and found the drive
spigot that comes out is seized. Now as this was fitted in June I suspect it
will be replaced under warranty so to speak.
