My daily commute from Bromley in Kent to Work (J2 of the M4) is a 20
mile journey, via Beckenham, Penge, Crystal Palace, Streatham, Tooting
Bec, Wandsworth, Hammersmith, and up the A4 to here. There are 28 sets
of Traffic lights, not counting pedestrian lights. 39 Left or Right
turns not accounted for by Traffic Lights of which 14 are a turns into
    or across a main road.

I did the complete journey feet up to the office car park. Didn't
jump any Red or Ambers and only nipped out in front of one car. 5:45am
to 6:30am mind you but still an accomplishment I feel.

You're right - I've never got that far without falling off.

Falling off is ok, you just have to make sure you land on someone else.

  6. Last weekend when I was four wheeled, it took one hour and 45 minutes to
do 25 miles from Willesden to just south of J7 of the M11.
Nothing to do wiv Norf/Saaf, it's a London thing
Compared to lot of other places, the inhabitants of London are generally
a lot less thick, or at least they don't say "Eh?" when you ask them a
question, or repeat the question back to you as if it's the most brain
    taxing thing they've ever heard.

  8. They're going to start taxing *brains* now? Oh well, I assume I'll get
a huge rebate as I've killed most of mine off with alcohol.

    once.

Oh, did I mention I used to own a combo? ;-))

Good idea, but I'd have to repeat it back about fifty times.

    On Tue, 7 Dec 2004 14:03:30 +0000,
Coincidentally, this week I was perusing '95 copy of 'What Bike' for
ideas for a winter hack, on the grounds that most bikes featured would
    be old enough now.

The mag in question featured a certain Gentleman of this parish,
    riding a Jawa combo.

You'll have to get up early then. I go Thicket Rd., Anerley Hill, Hamlet Rd,
Fox Hill then into the one way and left into Westow Hill to Streatham. Does
any of that pass near you?
