    That's rather careless.

Have a word with Blaney. He might be able to fix you up with something.
Good pay. Might involve a bit of travel.

probably not too good right now. I'll have a look tomorrow at the paper
    and see what's out there.

Last month they let 25 go from a 100 person shop. There were rumors of
more after the 1st, so yes; it was no big surprise.

I can't think of anything funny to say just now.
Does that mean I'll have to wear a suit?

Oh arse - that sucks. Don't know what you do, but start phoning around
competitors if they exist locally. They might pay well for commercial
    secrets ;-)

It's only happened once to me, but it was still a generally positive
experience for me - I left a job that (on reflection) I realised I
didn't like very much, with a big cheque in my pocket, and then got
another, much better, one five weeks later for a higher salary.

I appreciate that I wouldn't want to try it again right now :-/ But
    stay focussed and positive.

It's almost always a shit feeling and a good reason not to be a poodle for
    someone else.

It did go really well for you and of course I was glad when it did. Be
interesting to see what the market is like now though, particularly in CA. I
don't know if the tech sector there has caught the same cold. Zymurgy will
provide pointers on the situation here soon.

Some folk came back from the East Coast yesterday. Petrol back down to $1.50
a gallon (oh if only) but a very fucked economy with white and blue collar
feeling it. OTOH you can get a nice 2 bed Condo near Disney for £75k-ish.
It won't appreciate for 10 years though.

    That's bad crack, man.

We need a bulb changing in the living room if that helps.
