    Boots' machine was fecked (again).

    I'll try tomorrow.

I had an Olympic Brekkie on Saturday, as it 'appens.

I'm not hopeful, though wheels are in motion to remedy this in the
    very near future.

    Very near.

    Well, before the weekend, anyway.

    Arse. No change. 21:03

Still, the thing's[1] arrived, and it's been molished, and I've just
had my inaugural go on it.

    I am knackered, after only 10 minutes.[2]

Azytappens, I'm too heavy for it[3] at the moment, but it's mine, and
I'm fecking using it, so there.

Herself is giving it a go, too.

We're gonna try to lose a person between us. Eventually.

[1] Cheap and cheerful rowing thingy, with magnets, and a clock, and
    stuff.

[2] I know it doesn't sound much, but that's what the book suggests
for starters, and I am an unfit fat lump. I'm planning on increasing
it by a minute a week, until I'm up to 30 minutes, which is enough by
anyone's standards. There's a stroke counter thingy, so I can tell if
    I'm coasting, or not.

    [3] By 10kg.

It might be handy that it's got one of those - your next of kin will be
consoled to know it was the 12th stroke that did for you...

As a 'by the way', why is it that fit folk have a heart attack and it
kills 'em stone dead, whereas, us lovers of the pie, just briefly wince
    a bit then carry on?

For the same reason that Grandaddy Deathrattle smoked 400 hundred a day and
died at the age of 119 but the other 200, 000 that die in artery-clogging
agony don't get a mention, I reckon. We all need heroes that beat the odds.

I've been gutted ever since I found out Melton Mowbry pork pies are worse
than eating pure fat, fried in lard with a creamy butter dressing.

  12. Is now the right time to mention that I'm currently
    at 13stone 2lbs?

(Was at 14.5 ish this time last year)

Only if I can mention that I'm currently exactly the same weight...
....but have _never_ been a fat bastard. Max I've ever weighed myself
    at was about 87kg, IIRC.

Only if I can say 10 stone 10lbs, from above 12 just over a month ago.

Currently I am my ideal weight and I have no beer gut at all, I feel the
fittest I have done in years.

I think I'm going to give up drinking beer in any quantity other than
    for special occasions.

  15. Yeah, but you did that by getting ill in India...
As has been mentioned here before, beer contains shedloads of calories,
and cutting it out does have an effect.

I haven't noticed a difference. What did make a significant
difference was doing a lot of physical exercise.

  20. Absolutely. TBH, as I did both, it's difficult for me to
    seperate the effects...
