when I get shot of the 'blade, I'll still have 2 fully faired
sportsbikes - I definitely want a largely unfaired bike for road
hooning, as it'll help keep my speed down, particularly on the
motorway/duel carriageways. On the 'blade on that sort of road, the
temptation to just go faster and faster (because there's much less of a
sensation of speed than on a roadster) is too tempting, and I find
myself just sitting for extended distances at 140-150, which I think
will inevitably result in a serious nicking.

Maybe a 916 wouldn't be as bad in this regard, but I really want to go
back to a non-faired bike as my main toy for a while. Since I wrote
this out earlier for another reason, I'll copy and paste my 10-year
bike-owning history here; you can see I like to try different styles:

    CG125 SZR660 Bandit1200 TRX850 CD200 R1150GS R30 CBR929 R65LS ZX7R
    RGV250

There's been a run of sportsbikes recently, so it's time for something
    else.

far too many things to list here.
    me too, oddly enough.

The bike I like the look of most in the class I'm looking at is the
Buell City-X, but I expect I'll be put off by the tractor engine that
    runs it...

My choice would be either a shite old Brit or a lookie likie like a W650.
But mainly the shite old Brit.

Get a nice Mk I or II Moto Guzzi Le Mans. Cheap, quick, reliable (or at
least within your abilities to look after) and different.

    He's pretty flex, usually.

Check the train times, though, if you're thinking of dropping it off
then going to work - the branch line means that it takes quite a while
to get into the smoke. For that reason, I'd think that a weekend
    would be better.
