Seeing as I have now lost 3 and a half stone!
I've just tried my leathers on, they are really baggy. Whooo Hooo I thought!
Then I thought again. I'm only going to ever use them for the occasional
    track day now.
My mate's just bought a track bike and said I can have free use of it,
seeing as he now rides in the expert group, we can share bikes with me in
    the novice/intermediates.
I don't have the money to buy a new set, and these wouldn't be worth much on
    ebay.
The trousers are now nearly 6 inches too big (42"), the jacket isn't too bad
as my chest hasn't got much smaller (50") but there is a huge void around
    the belly area.

Question is; are they dangerous in their baggy form? I can wear them on a
track day with a pair of braces to hold them up, and they zip together
    anyway.

    Oh Dilema!

Fucking hell. You carried your weight well, I thought. You must look
    pretty trim now.
A leathers firm will do alterations for reasonable money. There's a
place on Addiscombe Road in Croydon that advertise in MCN. I reckon
you'd feel happier if they were right.

Bloody sure mine are unsafe after 4 stone down. The jeans are like clown
trousers: Held on by the braces, but they don't actually touch me
    anywhere......

  6. Minor size ajustments should be within the skills of a competent
leather repairs and alterations facility, but the size change here is
significant and could entail a comprehensive recut, which means
stripping out the entire garment, making up patterns to the wearer's
new body size, recutting to size and remanufacturing, if a
professional job is to be done.

This process will be fraught enough on a single colour garment, but if
the suit in question is of a multi-coloured design, then it will
probably prove impossible. If it can be done, the price will be
disproportionate to the value of the suit or the price of a new one
that fits. Mind you, if you can find a company that miscalculates the
enormity of the task and charges a pittance...

I've tried that. My last race I didn't crash once!
I had two very bad moments and they would've been nasty if I had crashed.

The meeting before cost me £300, a trip to the hospital and one DNF.

Just how fat are you? I'd rather sell mine than bin them. Never been
