Bad time with both Car and Bike due with 2 weeks of each other.
But what really annoys me is that for a bike its $430 ( QBE )
and for the Car its $314 ( Allianz). Its a farking ripoff and I would
like to rip some farking heads off.

Its about time the MCC or whatever its called looked into this
    rip off situation.

btw: what is the cheapest Greenslips in NSW for Bikes ?

    Greenslip for my XT250 - $103
Greenslip for my trumper - $273
Greenslip for car - N/A It's outta here!

You have a bimmer dont you? I would have thought that your greenslip
would have been comparable with mine, i.e old fart non-sportsbike prices.

The MCC is. But it's a long slow and *very* political process. after
all, have you ever tried getting a government agency to make something
    cost less?

We are gaining good cred with MAA, so they are listening. It is much
more likely that there won't be increases than it is that there will be
    cuts.

do you use full comp insurance ???

NRMA were going to give $100 discount on the greenslip if i took full comp
    with them

  9. It'll depend on the bike (capacity mainly, I think) and the usual things
like age, driving history, other insurance, where you live, all the
regular stuff - you can compare prices easily using:

    http://www.maa.nsw.gov.au/

It gives me a best price of $190 for the Spada with QBE, and $361.90 for
    the Monster with NRMA...

Must be something about Wollongong ( 2500 )because $430 is the
cheapest I can get for the beemer ( see other post )

As they don't ask make or model, I don't think that affects greenslip
    prices.

$430 for my '74 Guzzi, owner definitely over 25, garaged in the city.
    Clean licence.

However, if I give it a country region postcode, it goes down to 327.

Ahh, that must be the difference then. Comprehensive insurance also
makes it cheaper in some cases, though I fail to see the logic behind this.

Insurance companies taking a little less profit on greenslip to
encourage good drivers to sign up and make them much more profit on
    fully comp.

  18. it shits me, because by the time my bike is paid off, i would have paid more
in comp insurance and fee's than the accual bike costs..

and what do i get out of this arrangement, not a thing, even if i smash the
thing into a million bits, they will charge me extra for as long as it takes
till i repay them back what i owe them..

were is the logic in this world..

Put the amount of the premium in a savings account every month. Retire to a
safe distance. If you write off your bike, buy another one. If you don't,
can you believe it, the money is still yours! Doesn't work that well for
    new bikes though.
