  1. Well, the bill for the Triumph bits was the final straw. Hog has had his
evil way with me and gets the XS650.

    Sob. And SOB. SOBsob.

Well, if you'd not been so superstitious about modern finance, you could
have bunged all the Triumph stuff on the credit card and kept the XS650.

  7. I did bung it on the CC. And I've got a monster CC bill from Christmas,
the house insurance is due, and I need money for out skiing holiday in
    February.

Minor snag, I don't get home until Saturday afternoon. The following
weekend would be better for me.

Ah, think that would be too long for the TOG. Hmm shall apply creative
thought over lunch. Probably works if you fancy beers, have enough crash
space. Fly later on Sat, visit TOG Sun, return Mon. Only if you and
SWMBO are up for it mind. Loz should be around weekend too.

    Outline plan:
    Fly Sleazy Gatwick Sat AM
    Train/Taxi/Horse to TOG
    Collect RD and XS (1)
    Ride North to WUNderland
Sat PM taking of excessive wine/beer/spirits
Sunday workshop frenzy, RD engine out/split
Monday 2 up on the XS to Stranraer
Frequent shuttling to Luton to get the RD sorted and out of WUN's hair

    Possible options:
half way house on XS Sunday evening
RD lives with LOZ for a bit allowing him to revisit a mispent youth
    any other business

    (1) help from Lozworld or a n other would be useful here as the blonde
is a bit (2) nervous about riding through London.
    (2) like wild pigs are nervous about lions

Loz had mentioned assistance, depend if he want/can get down that way on
Sat. and back up to WUNderland/Pixienest.....basically

I realise this is stacking up a few favours, seriously, and am
    *extremely* grateful.
If TOG had more stash space I might just have left it until the 1st
French run or somesuch, done that on the XS, then returned it to NI.

Deffo interested in doing Chimay on the RD.

'Hog came up with the following;:
How far North? 'cos I might be able to offer storage space for one bike for
as long as you (reasonably) want, if 'North' is anywhere near Doncaster..

If I can conjure up the dosh in another couple of days, I'm hanging onto
    it. But I can't.

I've taken it to work and back today, and it's lovely. I just know that,
like the 400 Four, I'll never get another one as good.
