Said farewell to my ST4s last week. For some strange reason I felt
quite sad. Had a horrible feeling that I wouldn't be on two wheels
    again for some time.

Got a cheque for two thousand two hundred from the insurance company
which seemed reasonable for the mileage (43k) and condition.

White van man took me out whilst filtering.

Fractured left clavicle, thumb dislocated and fractured currently in
plaster with a couple of k-wires holding it in place.

Van driver claims it was my fault and that he was signalling, I claim
he didn't and he didn't check his mirrors. You can tell by the way
only the left brake disc is buckled that I was right alongside when
he decided to cross into my path.

Got a phone call from the vans owner last week claiming he had a
witness and the police report said it was all my fault and that I had
admitted liability at the scene. I said my opinion is that there was
no way I could admit liability as I was in shock and was taken away
in an ambulance. I may have said I was very sorry to have hit his
door but that was because it fucking hurt. Either way I'm letting my
insurance company deal with it, that's why I have comprehensive and
legal. Unlikely I can prove my side as the surveillance cameras in
the street look like they where facing away.

You need someone to offer him a deal he can't refuse.

Mind and body not up to it just now, also no place to break it now
that I've moved out of the matrimonial home. Although I did grab the
panniers, but they're a little bit scratched.
