--Does this group have one? Reason I ask: I'm riding something that's not quite a motorcycle but it's closer to one than anything else I can think of, at least as far as the powerplant goes. I'm looking for a *usenet* group where I can discuss the various things I'm doing to it. I've found a few web-based discussion areas, but honestly I haven't found a web-based forum that's worth spit. Any suggestions appreciated. Oh, and here's a link to the contraption I'm working on: http://www.nmpproducts.com/artcar0607.htm --I'm told the 150cc engine is generally referred to as a "GR-6" and that it may be a Honda knock-off... --Thanks,
That's not a car or a bike...it is a parade float. -- PC Paul 89 PC800 77 R100RS Trip pics at: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/paul1cart/my_photos "To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society" - Theodore Roosevelt
Yeah !! To tell the difference between a real bike and a junk contraption parade float, just contrast it with the stuff you see on TV from OCC, Jesse James and the bike buildoffs and uhhhh.....
Wow, I love it! Is it amphibious? 8^) I tend to think that if there were 'frequently asked questions' about motorcycles they wouldn't be very relevant to a 4-wheeled one-seat pirate ship, they wouldn't be much help. Why not just as -your- questions here? I'm sure that's allowed. I don't thnk there's a Usenet group for motorcycle-engine-driven pirate ships.
Okay, I had a couple of moments after work today. It's done. http://www.timberwoof.com/motorcycle/faq.shtml
--Well for starters I want to mess with the exhaust system; i.e. increase the diameter of the exhaust "manifold" which seems very restrictive to me. Curious to know effects positive or negative others have had from doing similar things to similar small engines.
--I beg to differ: it's *not* a "junk contraption"; I started with tquite a bit of research to find it. The goal was to start with the cheapest *new* ready to run drivetrain I could find. I wanted a tubular "body" so that I'd have something to attach stuff to that had more strength than a typical auto body panel. It's worked out very well, but the engine *is* a POS
