Does anyone know if the later fairing for a 1200 Trophy will fit the earlier
    version?
Just I like the twin headlamps that I have seen.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure the Trophy never came with twin lights on
the original incarnation - only on the later ones like Platy (had) and
    TOG have.

The twin lights were on the Daytona and, ISTR, Sprint.

Correct. The lights on mine were lovely: wonderfully effective twin H4s.
Alas, they are no longer - swept up from the gutter three weeks ago today.
And today I hear that the Trophy itself has been writ orf.

  5. I'll buy it.... I mean, I've got a chunk of fairing here. Oh, it's the
    wrong colour, innit?

  6. As the frame is the same, the answer is.....

    it should....

....but all the mountings and brackets will be different, and the
instruments (which sit in a recess in the fairing) are too.

So the answer is no, not without a **** of a lot of work.

All I could think of from the subject line was "Nah, fork 'andles,
    'andles for forks"

Anyways, Powerbronze do/did a range of twin headlight conversions. IIRC,
the Trophy was on of the models in their range.

Well, that makes it easier, doesn't it? Now all you have to do is
screw the InsCo of the dim cow wot knocked you orf and grab a
    substantial cheque. Innit.

That's the plan. I won't be riding anything for a few weeks yet, and I'm in
no hurry to replace it. I'll prolly use the Drifter as a winter hack, but
I'm having to do my sums WRT the Beemer - I've been toying with the idea of
refurbing it, but I reckon I'll prolly blow a grand getting it sorted, and
then I see stuff like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2491558696&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

....which appears to be in splendid condition, if a bit silvery, and I think
how much easier it would be just to part out the old one and buy something
    decent.

Well, I'm not going to need a 2-up bike until the spring, anyway.
