Didn't think you would (& I wouldn't either), but I'm not so sure about
    Champ.

    I would.

I'm not sure I've found anywhere yet that I'd happily move to.

Big emphasis on the "yet", though.

Based on the places I know, I'd move to SW France. Fantastic twisty
empty biking roads, superb windsurfing & the Pyrenees nearby for
    snowboarding.

I'd stay here in the UK. I might move house. I'd use my money to travel
    widely though.

  8. The weather at in the early part of June can be amongst the most pleasant
to be had in this Green and Pleasant land, particularly if you like it not
raining. Of course if you go oop norf you do run the risk of drowning
even during those periods called droughts but if you stay in the civilised
south you can enjoy the benefits of cloud free skies, dry roads and beer
    worth actually paying for.

  9. Lands End, John O'Groats, The Ace Cafe. Just a few tourist rip off places
    well worth avoiding.

  10. Forget it.

It was well worth a visit when I were a lad and you could get close enough
to hug the actual stones but now the place is simply awash with lesbian
nutters of all sexes wearing sheets talking about lay lines and the power
of their womb and all around it is made up of places you are not allowed
to walk on unless you are paying extra for what amounts to **** all
actually so really not worth the effort of seeing outside of a 50 minute
Timewatch Special from the comfort of your own armchair. Unless, of
course, you go on the summer solstice and point and laugh at them all and
remind them they are 6 months late and the real party was just before
christmas and that just like Santa clause, Druids in sheets was a
    Victorian invention.

Well yes; the lady you refer to is a british citizen by birth,
although not currently a passport holder. Having been to in recent
times chine, indonesia, malaysia and albeit briefly thailand I am fond
of the lifestyle and the vibrancy of the places. india OTOH was a
shite hole with few redeeming features.

Not really, and the road is overrated as well.

Much better on the north-western side of Scotland.

There's the Golden Mile near Cross Ash. Single track with several side
roads & farm entrances so you need to be brave to GLF.

That's just down the road from my place which is near Abergavenny on the
eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
It's all the immigrants. All of the, erm, liaisons I have had in Wales have
been with Englishmen, except for a Franco-Lebano-Colombian.

I agree 99% with this. Forget Orkney. Take a turn right just past
lochearnhead for Killin for a beer break.

Same here. I'd probably have a UK base and then rent villas/apartments in
places I wanted to explore. Travel would probably become my main hobby but
I also enjoy periods of solitude "at home".

Cafés at the Horseshoe Pass in Wales and Hartside on the A686 in Cumbria
are on better roads. Both are ideally suited for inclusion on circuits of
    the UK.
