Well you've clearly been selective in your reading. Yes, many reports
do use that expression, but most of them, as I've already pointed out,
clarify that we're just talking about issuing a fixed penalty on the
spot, not collecting the cash.

 

I'd hope not because sure as apples that would be open to abuse same

Cos I was just picking you up on the feral apostrophe. The plural of
camera is cameras. "Camera's" would be possesive.

 

I was nattering to a Plod this week and apparently (I need to check) but the
traffic plod in Manchester are no more. All the Motorway Patrols being taken
over by the new kid on the block and no traffic cars on the streets that
aren't motorways.

There is that, but the downside is that even a civilian motorist can get
your number, phone plod and complain about your riding and that alone seems
to be evidence enough to convict a biker of careless/dangerous driving these
days.
