Bad form an' all, but it got me thinking, and then I came across this
    on ebay
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9809&item=2483748279

Tempted, almost, I am. I'd love to have another one of these. Happy
    days, and all that...

Yersh. Whenever I've seen 0-60 times, pretty much everything with 100+
horspower does 3.something seconds. Once you've got enough power to
spin the wheel, that's going to be the limiting factor up to such a
low speed. But I'd be very suprised if a 600 could consistently,
measurably and significantly beat a litre bike.

I like to think I know a little of which I speak:

I was looking at some numbers in the latest (to me) PB the other day.
Can't remember what they were. And, um. Yeah. That's it really.

    Fair point.
I can relate to this. For the past twenty years I have regularly flown
on long haul flights virtually on a weekly basis and have always
enjoyed the experience. However, I had two bad experiences fairly
recently when we nearly got hit by a small plane over New York and an
emergency landing at Halifax Nova Scotia. I just couldn't get on the
next flight, I was scared. After taking advice it seems that the
accumulation of hundreds of flights finally caught up with me. I took
a break from flying for about a year and I have no problems with
    flying now.
Car's do feel slow, this is why I had my F27.
I too found myself questioning the rationale of going away frequently
and wanted to spend more time with my family.
    Good answer mate and thanks.

    Close ;-)
I think from time to time you reflect on life.
Aye, the reflection doesn't last long.

I'm good with numbers if they mean something. I can read a balance
sheet. I'm the quickest with the chalk if I'm having a game of darts
in the pub. But I was looking at this thing in PB and it was about
which bike was .1 of a second quicker to 60. And it wasn't
necessarily the most powerful one (but I can't even remember which
bikes were involved). And I was thinking "oh". And now I have *no*
    recollection.

At the larger end, the new KTM 950 Adventure (?) has had impressive
reports. I was chatting to a bloke who had one, and he reckons it's
    excellent for green-laning.

    Really, I wouldn't consider anything more than 450 4T.
I was thinking of getting a KTM so I could, motocross, enduro and
    fit supermoto wheels.

I was thinking about the 450.
Although I still like strokers off road.

It certainly does appear to be a bit on the large side, but apparently it
works. Not the sort of thing to take anywhere difficult though, I
    wouldn't have thought.
