This crops up every now and then and every time it is agreed that
tolerance will be displayed. Provided those regular contributors to
ukrm with a vested financial interest don't take the piss. Of course
this is never an issue because they don't. At least the sensible ones
with working email accounts don't anyway. I cannot speak for the
    others.

My problem is that I assume the other person knows what I'm thinking...
    (Well, my g/f does).

Had one of them last night.

For 9 1/2 days, the OEM TS250 seat was mine, for £9.99.

Ended up at £65, and someone else's.

    Grr.

I've just had some bloke from Indonesia email me offering 250 quid[1]
plus postage for my phone. Declined because I really can't be arsed
and I'm just a little suspicious.

[1] Says he'll pay by Mastercard into my Paypal account.

Ben was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Yes, but what he didn't say is that he wasn't using his own
MasterCard. Not to mention that the word 'chargeback' springs to mind
    immediately.

There's then the risk that ebay/paypal think you're taking part in an
attempt to defraud CC companies (since the card is undoubtedly stolen)
and you end up losing the contents of your PP account as well as your
    phone...

Heh. From what I've unanimously heard, you were very right to be very
suspicious. **** him off and block him from bidding on any of your
    auctions, Ben.

Exactly what I meant by "a little suspicious" above. Especially given
I got an email a couple of days ago offering a similar thing but
someone in Australia wanting to send it on to their friend in
Indonesia. That Ebayer had only created their account the day before.

  18. Be very suspicious. And be even more suspicious if they offer a
    cashier's check (sic).

Um, how can I put this......

I am in contact with several nefarious gentlemen, right now, who are
    running phone-buying scams.

Yeah, I've refused it. And blocked them from bidding as per Pip's
    advice.
