  3. The disc-braked one from the 1980s was a *cracking* little bike. I've
never ever seen one like the bike in the auction.

They also did an even more basic 100cc - ermmm... KC100, that was it.
    Ultra-cheap thing. Horrible.

The CD185 Benly was a shite machine. Blanked off electric start and
gutless lump. When they turned it into the CD200 it because a lovely
    little commuter.

And if the seller thinks a 185 Benly is an "ideal learner bike" he knows
    more than I do.

    I think it's a Kawasaki G5, not a KH100. Same basic bike but different
name. One of my ex-girlfriends had one same colour as that. My cousin
    Chris had a KH100EX in blue and I had a red KE100A9.
They were cheap as chips and crashed well. Very very reliable too. Our
local Kawasaki dealer sold shitloads of the things to 17 yr olds.

That's why I said "I think" at the beginning. I'm sure the G5 was a road
    bike.

How long ago was that? What were the learner laws like then? What are
they like now? Find out the answers to these, and many more simple
questions, on next week's exciting edition...

They did use the G5 designation. We can't make up our minds if the G5
was a road or trail bike. I'll go see my ex, Maureen, she's still got
    the bike and she'll know.

It was a trail bike, as was the curious 10-speed G4 of the same era.
