    Mine's OK too.
He'll be off sowing the seeds of revolution, I shouldn't wonder.

It's called "job satisfaction". You can't expect her to put up with all
your little... foibles if there's nothing in it (IYSWIM) for her other
    than the money.

    Just ask Ginge. He'll explain.

Belstaff made good quality kit, when did that happen then?

The 70's wasn't it? You lot are always saying stuff about the 70's and
then making me look a **** for not remembering. I think you do it
deliberately sometimes just to take the piss.

SteveH emerged from their own little world to say
I got depressed recently when I had to, for a job, visit retail
establishments in Newport, Cwmbran, Tredegar, Ebbw Vale etc. The don't look
like very attractive places to live.

Considering the mines were largely closed 20 years ago the areas are still
severely lacking in investment. In the towns at the northern end of the
valleys the visible population seems very old. You must notice this in your
    new job?

I lived in Cardiff for 3 years and I can now sympathise with those who take
the view that the capital has had a disproportionate amount of inward
    investment.

Of course they have coal, what do you think they eat? What they ain't
got is the business nouse to dig it up and sell it.

Only in other countries. The English miners moved on fairly
    successfully.

Aye, that's true, but, then, they are the worst examples of South Wales
towns, even then it's only some parts of 'em.

I quite like some bits of Aberdare, but then you have Penwaun on the
    doorstep, which isn't so nice.
Aye, and even the younger ones have walking sticks....
Yup, no question, same with Swansea, too. Went down there a few weeks
ago for the first time in years, couldn't believe what was being done
    down there.

Still doesn't answer my quesion as to why mid Wales is considered 'nice'
    and South Wales shit.

There's some very odd people in mid Wales.

It is if you are using South-Mid-North as the sub-divisions.

Brecon, further south, certainly markets itself as Mid-Wales.

Are you adding a fourth sub-division of West Wales?
