    flash !!

    1st best have a look at http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ukrmscbt.html
    especially the bits on snipping.

It's already been mentioned ^^^ in the thread that the lights should
be wired in with the existing lights, I am not 100% sure on this but
    http://www.piaa.co.uk/pricelist/glossary.htm seems to agree.

Well yes but otherwise also *if* the beam has a proper cut-off as per a dip
beam. I guess you can have as many "proper" headlights as you want?

I thought it was a joke, that would link to a page saying "**** off
    then". I was very disappointed.

It is something of an anti-climax. A red screen with green text plus audio
screaming *get a life you ***** would be nicer. Anyone care to hack it?

BTW I was in an auto shop yesterday buying some driving lights for a cage
and saw something that could be nice on a bike. Set of two small black shell
spotlights with angel eye LED sidelights on the circumference in a BMW 5-ser
    fashion <thinks Gixxer>

Legal provided they're aligned properly and wired to work with main beam
    only.

I had them on my Harley but the MOT station said that they couldn't MOT
it because they weren't sure. To save any argument I simply disconnected
    them for the MOT.

Seconded, when fitting just take the switched side of the relay to the
main beam supply via a switch, same laws apply regards fitment to cars
    or bikes.
You need one like mine, he could MOT a modern sports bike but he would
be just as familliar with one fitted with the original old style
    acetylene lamps:)

  11. And, if you're mounting them as headlamps only (ie, in place of a normal
headlamp) you mustn't have them too far apart in case you might be
    mistaken for a car.

Having them too far apart might be a problem if your main light packs up
and you have to use them as your sole illumination - you'd appear to be
a car some distance away, when in fact you're only 50 yards off and some
fucker might pull out in front of you.

heh. I broke my leg once whilst 'going commando'.

They'd worked out it was broken without removing my jeans (I was quite
    insistent).

Then they had to plaster it... so the jeans had to come off. I found it
    embarrassing...

"Look, it's only that small because I'm in shock, OK?"
