Lord help me. King Tech is going to lecture me again on how he's read
the manuals to lots of different equipment.
So which part was incorrect? Oh, that's right; you don't answer direct
questions, like why you don't consider a Pacific Coast to be a
    motorcycle.
    Yep.

Damn.. son.. how would you know all this since you have kill filed
everyone... LOL... Speaking of "dumbass:".. You both are a pair of
"sweeties" that start some shit like "cleaning up a newsgroup" and then
commence to holler when you get challenged... Damn.. I wish you could work
    that kill file thingy..

Hey! King Webmaster (who has a patent on html) still hasn't figured
out how to work a kill file.

I'm telling all y'all...if it wasn't for Al Gore already getting
credit for inventing the internet, this clown (Albie) would try and
snag credit. He's already said he was on usenet longer than anyone
else, he's said he has a patent of a big break-thru with computers
about 10 years ago...and then says his "firm" designs webpages.

Maybe he's trying to claim credit for the QueCat a couple years ago.
Sorry Albie, that was already done. Jovan Philyaw started Digital
Convergence and had David Butler and Doug Davis working on that
project. I doubt you were called. Besides, it was a dumb thing they
came up with to "revolutionize the internet".
I'm just waiting to see a list of your "vast knowledge" that's a
"degree more" in the computer industry.

That my friend is what I am trying to find out about.Divx..
it is only 38 megs so I dont think it did the world of damage that Sweetie
    said it did
I think he may be a doomsayer or democrate... and truth be told I bet he
    drives a Geral motors product.
But that is just speculation. He doesnt sound very bright to me in fact it
sounds like he either gets a cheap thrill off using names like "Jackass" and I
think he through "dither in there also but I could be wrong.
I am not sure what a dither is but it cant be worse then calling someone
jackass in one sentence and then calling him sweetie in another

It doesn't do any good, you folks keep kill filing people and then
respond when you can't take it any more. You'd have to learn to kill
file before actually kill filing....like it hurts anyone's feelings
    anyway.
I thought I was in *your* kill file? Or did Albie "design" that kill
    file for you?

Talk about someone being a moron? You sir have everyone beat in that
    race.

Thank yew fer yur support and thank the great organization for their
endorsement.. Gotta go check and make sure my GMC pickup is still in the
driveway, since I am sure your wife is riding your motorcycle while she
looks to replace your Ford.. It was reported during the night about some
Lady in the Austin area assassinating a pickup by shooting it in the
radiator.. I'm nervous.. Keep watching over your shoulder and should you
spot someone susupicious furtively approaching, you might want to
immediately inform someone nearby to issue the warning, "The wife is armed
    and deadly"..

Yeah, the best thing about it:

These folks think it hurts someone's feelings to be in their "kill
file". It's like being in a bar talking to someone and they say "if
you say that again, I'll just turn around and ignore you". If you
start a discussion with someone else, then they can still hear what
    you say.

    Here's the best part:
While they have their back turned to you, you can talk crap about them
and poke at the back of their heads...and so on. The best alternative
I know of, they can pick up, pay their bar tab and leave. It's not
like anyone would miss them anyway.

The problem with them leaving though, they say "I'm unsubscribing from
this group" like someone is gonna say "oh, don't do that...we'll make
the offenders leave". It never happens that way and after a short time
of them being gone (which I doubt they ever leave at all...just stop
posting for a short time) they return trying to act as though "oh,
    I'll post...but I won't respond to what <fill-in> writes". Sunny is
world famous for this...I've watched her "unsubscribe" to this group
no less than 3 times (probably more, but that's all I've seen). I've
seen Margaret come and go. I've seen keithsssschirffffneeess come and
go. They just keep coming back, and that's the funny part of this
    whole thing.

Maybe Albie can go design a way to keep these people from coming back,
as a "unsubscribe no return" policy?

LOL. I noticed that. He's a piece of work.
Agreed. I'd even go farther and say that a real motorcycle has to be
manual shift, thus ruling out my old Helixes.

If you have been staying up to speed on this group, you might notice, Albert
Nurick and company have decided to declare war on my son and me.. Seems none
have the caps to do that without a gang.. This group is just beginning to
settle again after a couple of weeks of button pushing, e-mailing and
posturing, threatening and name calling.. I get the impression Albert Nurick
isn't ready to give up and will align himself with anyone who has a bone
with either Brian or me.. You got a problem with Brian.. you don't need
another dog in the fight.. You and him work it out, fair and square.. That's
not your speed, if I'm any judge.. Have at it.. May the best man win.. And
that ain't Albert Nurick.. And I don't give a **** what kind of motorcycle
you ride or don't ride.. Or, if you kill file or not..

Damn... Steve.. didn't realize you are nearly my age.. That's goin' back a
piece.. On the subject, though..Even at my age, I have to look at them
trikes kinda funny.. And an automatic sends chills down my back.. You guys
must be aging quicker than me.. LOL.. Guess I will get there some day if I'm
    lucky.. huh ??

  11. Agreed. AFAIK, no automatic motorcycles today, and I do have a tough
time thinking of a Vespa as a motorcycle, even though it is, technically.

I was curious why Brian the King of Techs didn't consider a Pacific Coast
to be a motorcycle. It's got two wheels, manual shift, heck, even a V-
Twin engine. I was really curious as to his reasoning, but I had to
conclude that reasoning isn't his strong point. LOL.
    Very good point.

Speaking of work, weren't you working on designing a "kill file" that
    works?

Something about someone crying "ad hominem attacks" is coming to mind
about now. You've run out of anything else, so I guess that's all
    you've got left "Mr. I know a degree/magnitude more".

Got a friend that has a PC. Loves it. I can't say I really care for
all the plastic on it, but he has been very happy with it over the
years and he used to ride the crap out of that bike.

  14. I've been very pleased with mine; handles well, adequate power, great fun
to ride, works well two-up, and holds tons of stuff for touring. I
wanted a first motorcycle (I've scootered extensively) that I wouldn't
immediately outgrow, and I'm pleased with the choice.

The plastic has plusses and minuses. It makes the PC really easy to keep
clean, but if you have a chrome fetish, you'll be sorely disappointed. I
think of my PC as the anti-Harley; if you're into the cruiser scene, it's
probably the worst bike you could pick.

I always bug him by storing my stuff in HIS bike instead of mine!!!
lol Yeah, lots of good storage on the bike. For some reason, I
never noticed it was a v-twin until recently.
Well, I can deal with the body work part of the plastic. Where I
thought it was being taken too far was wrapping the handlebars in the
plastic shroud. I thought that was just a bit too cheesy.

Nope. Keep on smoking whatever it is you're smoking, Brian. Right now,
you're entertaining, so I've not put you in the killfile with dad.
I tried to treat you with respect, with proved to be a waste of time... I
should have listened to those who warned me in advance. I've asked you
direct questions, which you don't answer. IMO, "a piece of work" is a
tremendous bit of kindness I'm showing, Brian.

  17. Yep. I've been eyeing an ST1300 as a better long-distance machine, but I
was surprised to find it appears to hold *less* than my PC!
I think that was a weird choice, but lord knows Honda knows a bit more
about designing bikes than I do. LOL
Agreed 100%. I wanted to mount a GPS using one of the RAM mounts, and
they don't have anything that will clamp securely to the bar shroud; what
a PITA. I considered de-shrouding the bars, but then many of the
controls would have to be reworked.... ugh.

What about the bags on the last generation VFR? They are kind of
pricey, but they look like they are roomy enough. Of course, I use a
tail bag (no side bags) and I pack pretty light. No storage on the
bike. Actually, I shouldn't say that. The "trunk" under the tail has
one of the most roomy compartments I have seen on a bike of that type
and the cowling even has storage in it. I get quite a bit in there
    when I need to.

Yeah, not sure what the reasoning was behind that. They are more of
    an inline engine company.
What about taking the shrouding off the bars? It wouldn't affect the
looks that much to do it.

  19. I looked at the VFR, but I think for two-up riding, the ST would be more
comfortable. (That's what ruled out the FJ1300, too.) The VFR is also a
chain driven, IIRC, and IMO that's a big minus on a touring bike.

(The best solution for luggage seems to be the European Honda top box for
the ST1300. I have no idea why Honda USA won't sell it, but thanks to
the 'net, I can order one and put it on myself.)
Maybe the torque characteristics, and perhaps the heavier v-twin
flywheel, made it an easy-to-learn ride? I'm sure they had an extremely
    good reason, knowing Honda.
I thought about it, but unfortunately the secondary controls are mounted
to the shroud, not the bar. I'd have to replace all of 'em, and it
    sounds like too much trouble.

My solution is to hold off, and get a Valkyrie for cruising around
Houston, and an ST1300 for touring. Now that would make for a happy
garage, and both have real metal bars.
