Experiences with SF Moto? (MZ Skorpion)

  1. I've managed to get a very good deal on an '02 MZ Skorpion Tour
that's basically new. I'm new to riding (just finished the MSF
course this past weekend), and it's been described as a very good
first bike by several people I've talked with, which is reassuring.
However, the bike is being shipped in from out of state (Colorado).

I'm thinking about having it shipped to SF Moto, which is an MZ
shop (http://sfmoto.com), to adjust the carbs for sea level and
generally make sure it survived shipping intact. They've quoted me
a few hundred dollars for the prep, which seems fairly reasonable
(assuming nothing broke in transit that needs fixing).

Anyone have any experience with SF Moto, for good or for ill?
Or suggestions for another place that would be likely to be able
to handle a Skorpion, preferably in the East Bay?

(If it gets shipped to SF, I'm going to have a friend ride it
back over the bridge, since I am not going to have my first ride
on the thing be a combination of SF and the Bay Bridge.)

I haven't had any experiences with SF Moto, but I bought a MZ Skorpion
Tour from Scuderia West (San Francisco) back in 2000 - a great starter
bike, plus Scuderia looked after me well - bike servicing, etc. They
used to be a MZ dealer and still sell some MZ's - last time I was in
    anyway.
