I've bought a new Blue Flame exhaust from a nice chap on eBay. It
arrived today and very nice it looks too.

During communications with the seller he said he'd forgotten to send
the hanging strap. I told him not to bother as I had one with my
current end can which is going in the bin.

When the parcel arrived it struck me that this new can is oval and my
old one is round as is the hanging strap.

    The questions are:

Can I form the old strap into the new shape?
If not, do I have to buy a new one?
    If so, where from.

    TIA

Yes if the circumference is the same.
    Or make one.
Anyone that makes an oval can the same circumference.

    depends on the circumferance.
well, you could always just not fit your new exhaust.

If not, do I have to buy a new one?
Why not just contact the seller and see if he still has the strap.
