Exhaust gas heat

The exhaust valve was still in place on the modified link pipe. The
exhaust didn't make that much difference, didn't keep it on long
enough to really tell. I think the FI was clever enough to cope with
it. Probably require a Power Commander to set it up properly though.

Yes, helps a lot. I now know mine's likely to be somewhere between dwb's
43, & your four million. I must admit that is a slightly wider range
than I was anticipating.

You won't get any arguments from me. It may not be the best for absolute
power, although both the 750 (Senna & SPR at least) & 1000 seem to be
best in class, but it is drop dead gorgeous.

 

Dunno, but that reminds me...

A couple of weeks ago I stopped at traffic lights behind a Honda
CBR600RR(?)- the new sort with an underseat exhaust.

Along the bottom of the number plate, it said:

BEWARE OF HOT GASES COMING FROM REAR END

How many GSX-R thou owners do you know outside of those who post to this
group?

 

I know of one, he hasn't chaged his can. But then he knows about 5 more who
all have.

 

Not many, but I've seen quite a few of the bikes around here and
especially up in the black forest, none of which have been fitted with
a new can, AFAICT.
