    El linko no worko.
Thereabouts-ish, last year, I passed by San Gigigmano on the way from
Pistoia to the Cinque Terre and it is like riding in a motorcycling
olive oil ad: perfectly surfaced windy ones and on every corner a view
across a valley full of vineyards and olive groves.

I passed *through* St Gimignano (I assume that's where you meant) last
year, and some of the streets were barely wide enough for the RT. A few
more tourists around and it would have been impossible. You certainly
    attract a lot of attention.

Christ, LN said you were fluent, but that was *amazing*.

The road along the valley to Lucca is a bit ordinary. Last time I was
    there, I did this:

I'd fill up with fuel (petrol) first, as it can be a bit /mezzogiorno/ up in
the mountains, and seems to be mostly shut in the afternoons. You may want
to stop for a coffee in Pistoia afterwards.
I desperately need to go back to Italy, soon.

I rode that one out of Pistoia heading for the Cinque Terre. It is
    sweet.

Mmm, subtle. I was thinking along more conventional lines - buying tickets,
    loading up the bike etc.

I'd be up for an Italian trip if you took something reasonably rapid.
I mean more rapid than a Z200 Dustbinliner.
