Leaving tonight (on the Harwich ferry for sentimental reasons) to head
to the hotel we used for the Elefanttreffen on Friday then the rough
plan is to do this (you may need to scroll out) for the next 10 days.

The ZXR is getting one last glorious run.

So, sleeping bag and therma rest packed, clean clothes, passport,
toothbrush, bank card. I don't need anything else do I?

Very nice. Do it again next year & you can stop in at my parents'
place[1] for a cuppa - they should've moved in by then.

That looks like a great trip, I do know this area a bit so do you mind
if I make make a suggestion for your route?

    Well I will anyway!

Make this diversion, then take the road along the Serchio valley to
Lucca and pick up where you were.
I have twice driven over this road, sadly both times in a car, but it
is one of the best I have ever been along.
